Environment Protection Training and Research Institute (EPTRI) has two ENVIS centers i.e Status of Ecology of Eastern Ghats and State of Environment and Related Issues (SoE&RI) sponsored by Union Ministry Of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, with an objective to ensure integration of national efforts in environmental information collection, collation, storage, retrieval, dissemination and conservation of endangered plants species.
EPTRI has conducted three National seminars on conservation of Eastern Ghats. ENVIS centers bring out quarterly newsletters titled Ecology of Eastern Ghats (in English) and Toorpukanumalu in vernacular language (Telugu) and Paryavaranam. It is now preparing the State of Environment Reports for Telangana and Hyderabad. (NSS)
