D-Street indices open at record high, Fortis, Vijaya Bank among top gainers

New Delhi [India]: The opening trade on Monday flagged off on a positive note, with market indices triggeringg a record high with Sensex up by over 133 points at 32,174.51, while the Nifty at 9,947.30.

Among the top gainers from the trade were Fortis Healthcare, Tata Sponge, Vijaya Bank, HPCL and Amtek Auto, registering an eight percent growth.

However, shares of Lupin were up by two percent, followed by a surge in the shares of Wipro, Reliance Industries and Adani Ports. Also, with the upcoming launch of its oral anti-cancer drug for management of lung cancer, prices of AstraZeneca Pharma’s shares were up by 3.5 percent intraday.

On the contrary, shares of Divis Labs, SREI Infrastructure, MRPL and Persistent Systems dropped by around five percent, reports Moneycontrol. (ANI)
