Dabeerpura TB Hospital to be converted into a Super Specialty Hospital – Mahmood Ali

Hyderabad: Mr. Mohammed Mahmood Ali, Dy. CM of Telangana is very serious about the development of Old City of Hyderabad. From his Area Development Fund, He has determined to improve the health and education facilities in the Old City. In Saidabad, an English medium Primary School would be setup. Now he has decided to convert Govt. TB Hospital of Dabeerpura into a Super Specialty Hospital. This project would cost Rs. 7 crore. So far, Rs. 75 lakh have already been released. Collector of Hyderabad has been instructed to finish the construction work as early as possible.

 

It may be mentioned that the VII Nizam of Hyderabad, Nawab Mir Osman Ali Khan had established TB Hospital in Dabeerpura in 1938. The previous rulers of A.P. neglected it.

 

Realizing the medical needs of the old city of Hyderabad, Mr. Mohammed Mahmood Ali has decided to upgrade this hospital. Mr. KCR had promised to develop the old city of Hyderabad in to an international city and this responsibility has been entrusted to Mr. Mahmood Ali. The last CM of integrated A.P., Mr. N. Kiran Kumar Reddy had decided to abolition the TB Hospital and to established electricity office but due to the opposition of TRS, he had to take back his decision.
