Ghaziabad: A five-year-old was raped many times by a 60-year-old man whom she addressed as ‘Daadu’.
Arun Sinha is the father-in-law of the woman who runs a playschool at a residential society in Crossings Republik, Ghaziabad.
The alleged assault came to light after the girl complained to her parents about the elderly man for touching her inappropriately.
“My daughter had been going to the playschool for the past three months. We admitted her to the playschool because me, as well as my wife, are working professionals. She used to spend around two to three hours at the playschool every afternoon. The playschool staff used to drop her back home every day,” the girl’s father was quoted as saying to a leading newspaper.
She was sent for a medical examination and medical reports have confirmed that she was raped many times.
An FIR under sections of the IPC including 376 (rape) and 377(unnatural sexual offences) was lodged and relevant sections of POCSO Act has have also been invoked in the FIR against the culprit by the Ghaziabad Police.
