Dalits and Minorities should get united to fight against intolerance – Gaddar

Hyderabad: Dalits, Depressed classes and Minorities should get united in order to check communal incidence and intolerance. This advice was tendered by the revolutionary poet, Mr. Gaddar. He was addressing a round table conference of SCs, STs, BCs and Muslim Front at the Golden Jubilee Hall of Siasat Urdu Daily.

 

He further told that there is a need to form a common platform to fight the fascism of the Brahmins in order to eradicate increasing intolerance and communal hatred in the country. He also said that after assuming power, BJP Govt. led by Mr. Modi is making an attempt to curb the freedom of expression and freedom of eating. Narrating the incidence of targeting the national universities, Mr. Gaddar told that attempts are being made to engineer communal riots in the name of Hindus and Muslims in National Educational Institutions. The anti-national elements are awarding certificates of loyalty to the nation according to their own definitions. He further mentioned that 19 years back on the same day, an attempt was made to kill Mr. Gaddar. He mentioned that five bullets were shot at him, one of the bullets is still in his backbone even today. He mentioned that those who attacked him are moving freely even today.

 

Maulana Hamid Husain Shuttari, President of Sunni Ulema Board, while addressing a round table conference, blamed the Central and State governments for the backwardness of SCs, STs, BCs and Minorities. He further said that Muslims were made backward by destroying Wakf properties and SCs and STs were deprived their lands and forests.

 

Prof. P.L. Vishweshwara Rao stressed the need for the unity of SCs, STs, BCs and Muslims. Mr. P. Yadagiri, Convener of the Front conducted the meeting. The other speakers were Mr. Anwar Khan, Mr. Sanaullah Khan, Convener of the Front, Mr. Khalid Rasool Khan, Ms. Namrita Jaiswal, Mr. Rasheed Khan Azad, Mr. Mohammed Ali, Mr. Jahangir, Mr. Aslam Abdur Rahman and others.
