Dana Kishore assumes charge as new MD of Water Board

Senior IAS officer and Commissioner & Director of Municipal Administration Department M. Dana Kishore assumed charge as the Managing Director of Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWSSB) at CDMA office here on Thursday.

A senior IAS officer of 1996 batch, Dana Kishore held different positions in the last 20 years in various capacities.

Immediately after assuming charge, the Managing Director inspected water supply pollution in Madhapur area, pollution complaint in Himayath Nagar area. He reviewed about the status of various projects under Projects Wing and Maintenance and Operations under O&M Wing, revenue matters under Revenue Wing.

Among other issues, the Managing Director reviewed about 100 Days Action Plan, Categorization of connections, Summer Action Plan, revenue improvement. He said that 70 additional water tankers will be hired to increase trips and reduce waiting period for tankers during this summer.

The Managing Director directed the officials to prepare data bank about various aspects of water supply system, sewerage systems, ward-wise. (INN)
