Danny Willett hopes to take Augusta Masters victory in stride

Johannesburg : Newly crowned Masters champion Danny Willett has said that he was hoping to take the stunning victory at the Augusta National in his stride, insisting that he will continue to strive for more achievements in golf by not altering his approach to the game radically.

Willett etched his name into record books as he went on to claim his first major after defeating defending champion Jordan Spieth, who held a five-stroke lead before making a series of blunders towards the end.

Willett, who became the first Englishman to win the Masters in 20 years, said that they would continue to keep doing things they had been doing and work harder to get better, Sport24 reported.

The 28-year-old, who was reeling outside the top 100 at the end of 2013, rose to number ninth in the latest rankings with his victory at the Augusta National and four other professional titles. (ANI)
