Hyderabad: A historical masjid located at Dawood Khan Guda, Badangpet, Saroor Nagar Mandal Balapur lies in peril. Land grabbers are eying on the masjid while the government officials are keeping mum, which poses threat to the masjid and the land attached to it.
Society formed for the protection of masjid and land has urged the government to ensure its protection. Founder and president of the Weaker Community Development Society Hyderabad Mr. Abdul Majeed alleged that Revenue office staff of Saroor Nagar especially Tahsildar is ignoring the orders issued by the collector. He informed that the land of 200 year old masjid Mohammed Khaja is being declared government land. Land grabbers are also eying on the land and are trying to encroach upon the land through various means. Miscreants also tried to occupy the land by performing idol worship on the land however their bid was foiled.
