Dayakar Secures Seventh Position in the Country in Majority Votes

The ruling TRS party has registered a thumping majority in the Warangal Lok Sabha by-election on Tuesday, when counting of votes was completed.

The party candidate Pasunuri Dayakar has won the election with a massive 4,53,445 votes majority and entered into the annals of the history as a seventh person who secured highest majority. His nearest rival and Congress party candidate Sarvey Sathyanarayana got 1,54,986 votes, while the BJP-TDP combine nominee Devaiah poled 1,30,178 votes. Both the Congress and BJP-TDP combine candidates lost their deposits, as also the other contestants.

The TRS candidate created record as a seventh candidate in terms of huge majority across the nation. In 2014 general elections, BJP candidate Preetham Munde created record by registering victory with more than seven lakh votes and stood as a number one candidate. CPM candidate Anil Basu from Aramghar in West Bengal stood in second position registering a victory with 5,92,502 votes majority. Former Prime Minister PV Narasimha Rao stood in third place with 5.80 lakh votes majority. Prime Minister Narendra Modi got the fourth place with 5.7 lakh majority in 2014 election, from Vadodara constituency in Gujarat. In the 2011 elections, YSRCP president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy registered a victory with 5.45 votes in Kadapa Loksabha constituency and he stood in a fifth position. Janatha Dal leader Ram Vilas Paswan won the election with 5.4 lakh vote margin and registered a record win and stood as a sixth candidate. (NSS)
