Hyderabad: A public meeting was organised by Deccan Waqf Properties Protection Society and Tahreek-e-Insaaf at Mahboob Husain Jigar Hall, entitled ‘Demonetisation move by the centre, economic condition of the state and destruction of Waqf properties in Telangana’. Mr. Syed Aziz Pasha ex-MP and CPI leader presided over the meeting. Mr. Shameem Faizi editor Hayat, New Delhi, Mr. Balchand Congo (Aurangabad), CPI leader, Maulana Tariq Quadri advocate, Mr. Osman bin Mohammed Al-Hajari President Deccan Waqf Properties Protection Society, Mr. Syed Kareemuddin Shakeel advocate and others addressed on the occasion.
The speakers claimed that demonetisation drama was a sham to fool Indian public. Central government is trying to benefit its corporate friends in the name of black money, fake currency and terrorism. The speakers also slammed government and Waqf board for their silence on destruction of Waqf properties. Mr. Hajari revealed that illegal function halls have been constructed on Waqf land of Toli Masjid. Maulana Syed Tariq Quadri Secretary Sufi Academy alleged political backing to land grabbers.
