‘Deadpool’ helped Ryan Reynolds cope with father’s death

Washington: Opening up about his father’s recent death, Ryan Reynolds explained how his beloved ‘Deadpool’ character helped him with his grieve.

While the 39-year-old actor has always been known for his humour, it was his recent turn as the comical, maniacal superhero that helped him to transform the pain of losing a parent into something constructive, reports People Magazine.

The ‘ Green Lantern’ actor’s dad, writer-producer Jim Reynolds, died on October 28 at the age of 74 after battling the Parkinson’s disease.

In a recent interview, Reynolds said that he understands “the idea of filtering pain through a prism of comedy.” (ANI)
