Debate on ‘Poetesses of Deccan’ held

American Consulate Hyderabad in collaboration with Historical Society of Hyderabad and Salarjung Museum conducted a debate on the topic ‘Poetesses of Deccan’. Research Scholar of Columbia University Camilia Bell presented her excerpts of her research on saheb-e-dewan poetess of Deccan Mahlaqa Bai Chanda. Camilia Bell is presently doing research in Hyderabad on poetesses of Deccan. She will continue her research for the next 8 months in Hyderabad she is doing her study under the supervision of professors of University of Hyderabad.

The consulate also hosted exhibition of rare photographs regarding India at Salarjung Museum.

Dr. Habeeb Nisar, Dr. Fatima Parveen, Dr. Zahed ul Haq and Jameela Nishat also participated in the debate.
