Actress Deepika Padukone will start shooting for her debut Hollywood project, Vin Diesel-starrer “Xander Cage Returns”, next month, reveals director DJ Caruso.
The third instalment of the popular “XXX” franchise will begin filming on Jan 13 in Dominican Republic, while the Indian actress will join the team in February.
“We start in January. She starts sometime in February,” Caruso replied to a fan’s query on Twitter.
The film also stars Jet Li and Tony Jaa. The director said the makers are looking for a spring wrap.
“XXX”, a 2002 American action film directed by Rob Cohen, starred Diesel as Xander Cage, a thrill seeking extreme sports enthusiast, stuntman and rebellious athlete-turned- reluctant spy for the national security agency.
It sequel, “XXX: State of the Union”, released in 2005.
