Hyderabad: People are anxious to know the formation of Telangana Wakf Board but its formation is getting delay. Taking advantage of this delay, controversial decisions are being taken.
It may be mentioned that as per rules, after the commencement of election process for the constituting Wakf Board, no official can take any important decision but in Wakf Board, the situation is very different.
Govt. of Telangana issued notification for the formation of Wakf Board. In the first phase, six members were elected. They belong to four different categories. Govt. was to issue another notification for the nomination of 4-5 more members of Wakf Board but even after the lapse of one month, no action has been taken in this direction. It is for the first time that after the lapse of one month, Govt. did not finalized the names of nominated members. It is not known why it is delaying this process.
