Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia attacked with ink outside Lieutenant-Governor Najeeb Jung’s house

New Delhi: Manish Sisodia, the Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi, was attacked with ink today while he emerged from his meeting with Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung at his residence in Delhi.

Mr. Sisodia was talking to reporters after returning from a much-talked about his Finland tour when he was attacked.

The ink-thrower was identified as Brajesh,35, he shouted that he was an “angry citizen of Delhi” and threw the ink to protest the absence of senior Delhi government officials from Delhi, when it was facing a severe dengue and chikungunya epidemic.

Mr Jung asked Mr Sisodia to fly back home immediately and give him a report on the disease situation in the capital.

Mr Sisodia, said he had gone to study the education system of Finland and saw nothing wrong.

He said.”AAP is committed to working for people in health and education. Congress is only working on ink….They are throwing ink on me…This is the dirty politics of Congress and BJP.”

Meanwhile AAP, took Twitter on Monday to blame the BJP and Jung for the incident, and turn the ink attack in its favour with the hashtag “#InkWillWriteHistory.”
