Delhi Top Cop announces Rs 25,000 reward Anyone Expose Corrupt Police

A cash reward of Rs 25,000 has been announced by Delhi Police for anyone helping expose corrupt practices by the police. An audio or video clips must be provided as an evidence of a cop taking bribe.

The order was issued by Delhi police commissioner, Bhim Sen Bassi on Tuesday, after chief minister Arvind Kejriwal claimed at Delhi Police for being “most corrupt”. In reaction to the comment the police commissioner said, “I would quit if anyone can show that I am involved in corruption.”

He said.“We will analyse the footage sent and check its veracity after which the complainant would be called and awarded. If the complaint is against someone from a government department, the file would be forwarded to the anti-corruption branch.”

He also commented on CM’s survey by saying he has no knowledge about his survey. He said “It has posed further challenge for us to eradicate corruption from Delhi Police and we have started several initiatives to fight the menace. We received a lot of corruption complaints regarding registration of crimes and lost reports. To tackle the problem, we took several initiatives to ensure truthful and free registration of crimes everywhere.”

Bassi said that the Delhi government should focus on their own work and let the police do theirs. As Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal once again made a case for handing over the control of Delhi Police to Delhi government.

He said most of the AAP ministers are involved in the corruption scandals. “Six ministers in the AAP government are facing a tough time fighting corruption charges against them. So, they have a lot of work to do,” he said.
