Demand to postpone MBBS counselling, parents submit representation to Mr. Zahid Ali Khan

Hyderabad: Counselling for admission into MBBS is starting today. In three Muslim managed medical colleges under ‘B’ category, seats have been increased from 40% to 50%. In this category, the fee is Rs. 11 lakh for non-minority colleges whereas in Muslim minority colleges, it is Rs. 14 lakh and for ‘C’ category, the fee is Rs. 28 lakh.

By increasing the seats in management quota, Govt. favoured the Muslim managements whereas the students are being put to loss. 50 seats have been reduced in this category.

Parents made a representation to Mr. Zahid Ali Khan, Editor of Siasat Urdu Daily to take up this case with the Govt. for postponing admissions in ‘B’ category to the extent of 10% enhanced seats.

The delegation included Mr. Farooq Husain, TRS MLC, Mr. Manzoor Ahmed, Mr. Nanak Singh Nashtar and others.
