Demands NEET in Urdu

Hamid Mohammad Khan, president, Jamat-e-Islami Hind, Telangana and Odisha zone, has demanded that National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET)-2017 be conducted in Urdu and other regional languages. Speaking to the media here today, Hamid Mohammad Khan questioned the authority of Central Board of Secondary Examination (CBSE) for not allowing students of Urdu and other mediums in the NEET examination though there are 22 scheduled languages incorporated in the Constitution. “It is strange to know that because of the inability of the CBSE to conduct the NEET, it has excluded some of the important languages like Urdu, Malayalam and Punjabi this year”, he deplored.
