Parminder Kataria Deputy Mayor of Gurgaon has been booked by police when a woman complained that Kataria had allegedly raped her repeatedly on a false promise of marriage and gives her a job in the Municipal Corporation of Gurgaon (MCG).
The 36-year-old single mother of two who is also a neighbour of Kataria lives alone in Ashok Vihar. Kataria befriended her a couple of years back. They were in a live-in relationship for the past six months, the woman alleged that Kataria exploited her physically on several occasions.
Kataria, who is also a BJP party worker with two others has threatened her of dire consequences if she tried to complain to anyone.
on Saturday evening the woman, filed a complaint at a women’s police station. The charges against Kataria also include criminal intimidation. An FIR number 27 has been filed in this regard and matter is under investigation.
Despite of many efforts the police could not contact him as his phone was switched off .Meanwhile, the Haryana Youth Congress demanded his resignation,they also threatened to protest in Gurgaon and demaned for fair inquiry in the case.
