Despite 12% Muslim population, they get 0.4% Govt. jobs – Campaign for 12% reservation continues

Success is obtained only through struggle not by desire. The Muslims of Telangana are joining the campaign for 12% reservation under this thought. They have zeal to get success through their efforts. They are demanding KCR to fulfill his election promise for providing 12% reservation to Muslims in jobs and employment. The campaign initiated by Siasat Urdu Daily has now become a massive public movement in Telangana District. The Muslims who used to demand for the extension of last dates are now demanding united for reservation to get their due share in jobs and admissions in educational institutions. They think that it is an opportunity to raise their percentage from 0.4 to 12 if their efforts meet with success. It may be worth noting that in the Govt. sector of Telangana the share of Muslims is only 0.4% whereas they constitute 12% of the population of the State. The delay in implementing 12% reservation for Muslims is causing anxiety among them since recruitment notifications are being issued without 12% reservations.

Fulfilling its responsibility, Siasat Urdu Daily launched a campaign to get 12% reservation for Muslims to create awareness. It remains to be seen which political party raises this question in the Assembly session. It will be known to people which political party is sympathetic towards the cause of Muslims. The real face of the parties will also be exposed in this manner.

A delegation of Siddipet Foundation led by Mr. Saadath Nazeer and his colleagues met Mr. Amer Ali Khan, News Editor of Siasat Urdu Daily in Hyderabad and applauded his efforts for this cause. In Nizamabad, signature campaign in support of this movement started on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha prayer. In ten mosques of the districts signature campaign is in progress. President of District Muslim League, Mr. M.A. Mukheet and Mr. Abdul Ghani, Secretary obtained more than 10000 signatures. They have determined to obtain 1 lakh signatures on the memorandum.

In Bhainsa Town of Adilabad Districts, representations are in progress. A delegation of Trained Teachers’ Union led by Mr. Abdul Kareem and others, presented a memorandum to Tehsildar, Bhainsa. Another delegation led by Mr. Abdus Saleem, President of Minorities Rights Protection Committee, Zaheerabad Unit presented a memorandum to Tehsildar, Zaheerabad. Mr. Jamal Shareef, Advocate and President of Muslim Development Committee of Jangaon presented the memorandum to Dy. Floor Leader of TDP, Mr. E. Dayakar Rao when he saw him in the court, apprised him of the campaign launched by Siasat Urdu for getting 12% reservation to Muslims. Mr. Dayakar Rao told that this campaign initiated by Siasat Urdu Daily is worth praising. He told that Mr. Zahid Ali Khan and Mr. Amer Ali Khan are worth praising for these efforts. Present on this occasion were Mr. Sri Hari, Advocate and Mr. Ashok. Mr. Mohammed Amjad Khan, President of District Wakf Committee of Warangal and Mr. Shahnawaz Baig, Correspondent of Siasat Urdu Daily presented a memorandum to Collector of Warangal. Present on this occasion were Dr. Anees Siddiqui, President of Shanti Shangam and Mr. Abid. The Muslims demanded the Govt. of Telangana to fulfill its election promise of providing 12% reservation to Muslims by getting recommendation from BCs Commission to ensure its implementation.
