Development of Eco Tourism Circuit in Mahaboobnagar

Dr.Christina Z.Chongthu, IAS, Managing Director, Telangana State Tourism Development Corporation, informed that the Additional Director General(PSW) Ms.Bharati Sharma, and .Vaibhav Prakash, Associate(PMC), Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, visited  and inspected Mahaboobnagar District of Telangana District on 10th & 11th of August,’2015, for providing financial assistance under Swadesh Darshan Scheme, Ministry of Tourism, Govt. of India for Development of Eco Tourism Circuit in Mahaboobnagar District which covers the following areas.

SOMASILA RIVERSIDE DEVELOPMENT :-  ( 23 kms. From Kollapur).

 

Development of approach road, jetties with terminal, landscaping & illumination, pathway from river to temple, parking area, boating facility, solid waste and solar lighting.

SINGOTAM RESERVOIR:- (7 kms. From Kollapur).

Providing tourist facilitation centre, illumination to Laxmi Temple & hill, bund improvement with lighting and seating spaces, open plaza for festivals and celebrations, watch tower and view point, seating spaces along the bud, landscaping, pathway, parking slot, floating jetty, water sports(inc. speed boats), solid waste with solar lighting.

AKKA MAHADEVI CAVES:- (16kms. From Srisailam Dam).

 

Providing floating jetty, improvement of steps, visitor amenities, landscaping and illumination, seating spaces, signages, solid waste with solar lighting, upgrading of trekking path, steps and signages.

UMA MAHESHWARAM TEMPLE:-  (6  kms.from Achampet).

Director(representative of Ministry of  Tourism), Govt. of India, at Hyderabad, had a detailed discussion with Ms.Bharati Sharma, Additional Director General(PSW), Ministry of Tourism, Govt. of India today on 12.8.2015 at Paryatak Bhavan, Begumpet, Hyderabad and emphasized the need for sanctioning Rs.107 crores for development of eco tourism circuit in Mahaboobnagar District, for which the Additional Director General(PSW), Ministry of Tourism, Govt. of India agreed in principle.
