Hyderabad: When BJP attacked the All India Congress Committee General Secretary Digvijay Singh over a video of sharing the stage with controversial Mumbai-based preacher Zakir Naik, whose speeches are under scrutiny, Digvijay has slammed the “saffronised” section of the media for being “kind and considerate” towards him over the controversy.
Digvijay tweeted. “Thanks for the free publicity. Dig out some more such cases. Put your full team to find everything against Digvijay. 4 year old issue of my sharing the stage with Zakir Naik who doesn’t have a case against him played on the national media for more than 3 days.”
He called it double standard and said. “Sanghi elements” have always been very “kind” towards him.
He said. “We raised the issue in Parliament and the Modi government didn’t react. But the Modi bhakts were quiet then.”
