Demanding the state government to fill the reservoirs under the Jurala project by releasing water from the project, Gadwal MLA DK Aruna alleged that the state government was showing clear discrimination towards releasing water from Jurala project since the beginning of the TRS government.
Speaking to the media at Assembly Media Hall here on Friday, DK Aruna said that already farmers staged dharnas demanding the government to release water to start paddy cultivation works. Stating that the previous governments used to release water every year but the present government was showing step mother attitude in this regard.
Alleging that the government was releasing water to Koilsagar but the same government was not releasing water to ayacut farmers and questioned the government to tell as to why it was behaving negligently towards ayacut farmers. The government has to release water at least now keeping the negligent attitude aside and fill the reservoirs under the Jurala project. (NSS)
