Doctor commits suicide in Rajasthan

Bundi: A 38-year-old doctor allegedly committed suicide in his quarter on a Community Health Centre’s campus (CHC) in Hindoli town here with police suspecting that the act might have got recorded on his mobile phone, which is yet to be unlocked.

“Dr Sanket Singh Bhadoriya, a physician with the CHC, was found hanging from the ceiling fan in his room today. He allegedly committed suicide late last night,” Ajit Singh Meghwanshi, Circle In-charge (CI) at Hindoli police station, said.

“The incident might have been recorded on his mobile phone that was found fixed at an angle to shoot the act. The mobile handset is yet to be unlocked. No suicide note was recovered from his room,” the CI said.

“The victim is a native of Madhya Pradesh but had been living in Bundi city for years,” he said, adding the body has been kept at the CHC’s mortuary and postmortem will be conducted after his family members arrive.

“Bhadoriya was on duty for emergency night call at the CHC and last visited the health centre at around around 9 PM,” said Dr Surendra Meena, who described his colleague, Bhadoriya, as a jolly man.

“The victim’s wife is also a doctor and is reportedly pursuing post graduation in MP,” the CI said.
