Dog meat not used in Shah Ghouse food items, sample contained pure mutton: GHMC

Hyderabad: Greater Hyderabad Municipal Commission clarified that the meat used in food items at Shah Ghouse Hotel, Gachibowli was purely mutton and reports that dog meat was mixed were mere rumours.

Chief veterinary officer GHMC issued a notification which stated that rumours were spread on social media in this regard on December, 13, 2016, following which food samples were collected from the hotel and were sent to National Research Centre for inspection. According to the reports the meat used was purely mutton and no mixing of meat was found.

It must be recalled that rumours were spread wide and fast to defame the hotel in December and some TV Channels also aired news bulletin without verifying the information which tarnished the image of hotel. Later the rumour monger was also arrested.
