Donald Trump is the new President of United States

Washington: The race is over now, Republican nominee Donald Trump, a real estate magnate, is set to become the 45th President of the US.

The 70-year-old was declared the winner in Pennsylvania, with 49 percent of the vote to Hillary Clinton’s 48 percent, with 99 percent of precincts reporting, according to the Associated Press.

Clinton immediately called Trump to concede the election defeat and congratulate him.

Republican is the first person to win the Presidency without having previously held public office or served in the US military, according to the Washington Post.

With this, Mike Pence, 57, will be his Vice President. Pence was a long-time member of the House of Representatives and is now the Republican governor of Indiana.

Trump’s “leadership will make America great again”, Pence said, at the President elect’s camp headquarters.
