A 31-year-old woman committed suicide allegedly due to harassment for additional dowry.
The victim, V. Deepika, resorted to the extreme by hanging to the ceiling at her residence in Bowenpally on Tuesday night. Preliminary investigation by the Bowenpally police revealed that Deepika was married to one Abhilesh in 2010. The couple had no children. Deepika was allegedly being harassed by her husband for additional dowry which consequently drove her to suicide.
Police began investigation after registering a case. (INN)
