Hyderabad: Congress leaders who joined TRS are creating problems for the Govt. It is alleged that Dr. K. Keshav Rao and Mr. D. Srinivas are involved in purchasing Govt. land. Opposition parties have been demanding CBI probe. However, CM has clarified that not an inch of Govt. land has been illegally possessed by anyone.
It is reported that Mr. D. Srinivas, Rajya Sabha MP purchased Govt. land in Gurmapur, Medchal District. Many persons had made an attempt to purchase this land but officials refused to register it saying that it is a Govt. land but when Mr. D. Srinivas purchased 4 acres of land out of 89 acres under survey number 221, the officials registered it immediately. This was registered in the name of Mr. D. Srinivas (4 acres) and his relative, Mr. V. Satyanarayana (2 acres) in 2015. The value of this land is estimated at Rs. 4 crore.
In Ibrahimpatnam mandal of RR District, the family members of Dr. K. Keshav Rao, Rajya Sabha MP purchased 38 acres of forest land from Gold Stone Company. The sub-registrar who registered this land has been suspended. When this scam was exposed, Dr. Keshav Rao contradicted it and said that registration has been done keeping in mind High Court Decree. Dr. Keshav Rao hinted at approaching the court if registration is cancelled.
The officials of the Revenue Dept. have confirmed that it is a Govt. land. The leaders of other parties who joined TRS are bringing disrepute to the Govt. which is providing an opportunity for the opposition to criticize the Govt. It remains to be seen what kind of action Mr. KCR will take against Mr. D. Srinivas and Dr. K. Keshav Rao?
