New Delhi: Shahnawaz Khan, the Uber cab driver of Delhi had the experience of his life that he will never forget.
It was a routine day for Khan as he has to pick and drop the people to their destinations, and as usual accepted the ride request booked by Sanjay.
Babli, heavily pregnant woman booked cab through Sanjay, a friend of her husband after she felt distressed, as per Indiatimes reports.
On the way to Safdarjung Hospital, at a traffic signal near the Ansal Plaza, Babli cried that the baby was coming.
At first not knowing what to do, Khan arranged for whatever clothes he had in his car for safe and sound delivery of the baby.
The lady gives birth to a baby even before the traffic signal could change to green. “It just goes to show how long the traffic signals are at Delhi,” joked Khan.
Khan rushed the baby and the mother to the hospital where he was mistaken as the father of the new-born child. And when he revealed that he is not the father but her driver, the doctors were in a shock.
Khan is happy that now both the mother and baby are safe. “I am very happy. There’s nothing better than this. After all, money is not everything in the world,” Khan said.
