Dy CM leaves for Delhi to seek additional Hajj quota

Deputy Chief Minister Mohammed Mahmood Ali will leave for New Delhi to seek additional Hajj quota for Telangana. He will leave for New Delhi on April 5 where he will meet Union Minister for Minority Affairs Najma Heptulla and other concerned high officials. Deputy Chief Minister will leave for Delhi along with the letter written by Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao and will hand over the letter to Minority Affairs Minister.

Mr. Mahmood Ali told that instead of enhancing Hajj quota, it is further reduced, compared to last year; as a result thousands of applicants are disappointed. He further told that as per the Muslim population of Telangana Hajj quota for the state should be 4000 to 4500 but the central government allotted less than 3000 seats for Telangana.
