Egg Dum Biryani

INGREDIENTS:
1/2 kg – basmati Rice
1 cup – plain yogurt
8 – eggs
4 – Green chillies
6 tbsp – clarified Butter
1 – big Onion
1 tbsp – biryani masala powder
1 tbsp – fried Onion
1 tbsp – fresh Coriander leaves
1 tbsp – ginger-garlic paste
Mint leaves – 1 bunch
1 tbsp – oil
Salt as per taste
1 tsp – Garam Masala

Method:
1. Wash and soak rice for 30 mins
2. Boil the eggs
3. Cut the eggs into four long pieces without separating it
4. In a kadai or pot, heat the clarified butter or oil.
5. Add spices and fry the onions until they become golden brown
6. Add ginger-garlic paste, green chillies, mint, coriander, biryani masala and curd
7. Cook the mixture
8. To this add, one and half times of water to rice and boil
9. Add soaked rice, mixing well
10. Cover the pot and cook till rice is done
11. Heat oil in another pan and add red chilli powder, salt, eggs and besan
12. Fry until the eggs get coated with the spices
13. Remove the eggs and set aside
14. Top cooked rice with eggs
15. Serve with salad
