Elaborate security arrangements for ‘Jummat-ul-Vida’

Elaborate security arrangements have been made in view of ‘Jummat-ul-Vida’ (Last Friday) of Ramzan, especially in the Old City of Hyderabad. Large number of Muslims will gather for Friday prayers at historic Mecca Masjid where the AIMIM will also hold the ‘Yaum-ul-Quran’ meeting.

Security arrangements will also be in place for Shab-e-Qadar, the holy night to be celebrated on 27th of Ramzan.

According to DCP South Zone V. Satyanarayana, elaborate bandobust arrangements are being made covering all mosques, concentrating on 80 important Mosques, and by posting 100 Pickets by deploying the large police force for the safety and security of the civics and to maintain Law and Order in the city.

In this connection, outside force has been allotted to South Zone to meet the bandobust requirements.

Additional CP Crimes & SIT Swati Lakra has been made incharge of entire South Zone area.

The 1917 strong force comprises of two DCP/SPs, 5 Additional SPs, 25 DSPs, 61 Inspectors, 95 Sub-Inspectors/RSIs, 72 ASIs, 200 HCs, 936 PCs and 152 Home Guards. In addition, there will be 135 Platoons and two RAF Coys. (INN)
