Elaborate security arrangements are in place for the monsoon session of Telangana State Legislative Assembly and Council beginning from September 23.
Hyderabad Police Commissioner M. Mahender Reddy, along with senior officials, on Monday inspected the security arrangements in the Assembly premises. He also interacted with Assembly Speaker S. Madhusudan Chary and Council Chairman Swamy Goud on the issue. Speaking to media persons later, he said nearly 2,000 policemen would be deployed for the security purpose. A sub-check post, bomb squads and CCTV cameras have also been deployed to ensure fool-proof security during the session.
Meanwhile, according to sources, nearly 10,000 additional security men from Chattisgarh, CRPF and other agencies have been called to the city in view of Bakrid and Ganesh festivals. (INN)
