Hyderabad: Moghalpura police arrested elderly couple on the charges of attempting to kill their daughter-in-law. According to police, Mahreen Noor lodged a complaint with Moghalpura police against her father-in-law, 69-year-old, Mohammed Abdul Hafeez and mother-in-law, 67-year-old, Syeda Kulsoom, R/O Chota Maidan Khan, alleging that the couple attempted to kill her.
The compliant stated that Mahreen Noor married to Osman Quraishi presently residing in US in 2015. Constantly harassed by in-laws, Mahreen filed a case of dowry harassment with Moghalpura police on February 27. On March 2, when Mahreen Noor reached her in-laws house, her father-in-law allegedly assaulted her and her mother-in-law tried to strangulate her.
Moghalpura police booked the couple under attempt to murder case and sent them to jail following their arrest.
