Bengaluru: In a gruesome incident, a 22-year-old engineering student was stabbed to death by his intoxicate hostel mate on a small issue on Thursday.
According to Indian Express, departed Rohith, 22, was doing his engineering from East West College and Ravish, 21 the accused is pursuing BA at a Government First Grade College, Vijayanagar.
The incident took place around 11 pm at Devaraj Urs Backward Classes Hostel in BEL First Stage. The accused Ravish who drank alcohol went to use the washroom and left the washroom door open, to this Rohit asked him to flush (as he didn’t flushed ) and close the door as it was stinking and disturbing to the other students.
Ravish refused to do it and a fight started between the two and Ravish rushed into his room and biught the knife and allegedly stabbed in the Rohith’s throat. The other student who tried to save Rohit suffered with minor injuries.
Rohit was immediately admitted to nearby hospital and declared as dead. The Body was sent for post mortem to Victoria hospital and Ravish was caught by the police and investigations is been carried out.
