The process of evacuating Osmania General Hospital began here on Wednesday.
The OGH staff has shifted 24 orthopedic patients to King Koti hospital. According to officials, the OGH would be completely evacuated within a week by shifting patients to different government hospitals in the city.
The evacuation has been ordered by Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao in view of dilapidated condition of the hospital building. The State Government is proposing to construct a new building, along with a Nursing College, by demolishing the old structure. (INN)
