“Every challenge can be met through education” – Mr. Zahid Ali Khan’s address at felicitation to Salwa and Sania

Hyderabad: Educational and Economic progress is my motto and the prime objective of Siasat Urdu Daily. In order to fulfill this objective, Allah (SWT) has provided such sympathizers who extend exemplary cooperation. These thoughts were expressed by Mr. Zahid Ali Khan, Editor of Siasat Urdu Daily while addressing the felicitation function to honour pilot Salwa Fatima and the brilliant student, Sania Siddiqui held yesterday at Golden Jubilee Hall of Siasat Urdu Daily.

It may be mentioned that Ms. Salwa Fatima got private pilot licence, commercial pilot licence and flight radio, telephone operator licence and brought laurels to her family and Muslim community. She is now going to Bahrain for advanced training.

Ms. Sania Siddiqui who is a resident of Old City has been selected by State Dept. of US under YES program.

Continuing his address, Mr. Zahid Ali Khan told that if aims are high, success is assured. Only through education development is possible. Educated nation can only face every challenge.

During his address, Mr. Zahid Ali Khan quoted the example of Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam and said that he was a poor student of a remote village of Tamil Nadu. When he joined school, he had no money to buy slippers. He never paid attention to the apparent decorative things. He concentrated on getting education. He became the topmost scientist of the country and most favourite President of India.

He also said that he was very much impressed by the ambition of Ms. Salwa Fatima and decided to help her by paying her fees to the tune of Rs. 18 lakh. Other philanthropists also helped her financially. He also mentioned the efforts of TRS MLC, Mr. Farooq Husain who recommended her case to CM for sanctioning Rs. 35.5 lakh for her training in Dubai and Bahrain. In this connection, the efforts of Mr. Mohammed Jalaluddin Akbar and Mr. Syed Omer Jaleel are also laudable who translated the dreams of a Muslim girl into a reality.

It is hoped that after getting one month’s advanced training, she would be able to get pilot’s job in any noted airlines.

Mr. Zahid Ali Khan said that Siasat Urdu Daily and Faiz-e-Aam Trust helped her financially.

Mr. Zahid Ali Khan also applauded the achievements of Ms. Sania Siddiqui, a resident of Fateh Darwa in Old City on getting her selected for YES program out of 120 students. He congratulated her father, Mr. M.A. Sajid and her mother, Dr. Waheeda Siddiqui and hoped that Sania would prove to be an inspiration for other children.

Mr. Iftekhar Husain, Secretary, Faiz-e-Aam Trust in his welcome address told that in offering welfare services of the trust, Siasat Urdu Daily extends its cooperation. He mentioned that Faiz-e-Aam Trust is bearing the educational expenses of Sania Siddiqui right from 5th standard.

Dr. Makhdoom Mohiuddin, Trustee of Faiz-e-Aam Trust in his welcome address told that without getting education, progress is not possible. Mementos were presented to Salwa Fatima and Sania Siddiqui.

In her speech, Ms. Salwa Fatima thanked Mr. Zahid Ali Khan, her mentor, Sufi Arshad Chishti and Mr. Farooq Husain MLC. She said that if Mr. Zahid Ali Khan had not come to her help, her dream could not have been materialized. On this occasion, Faiz-e-Aam Trust also gave donation to her.

Present on this occasion were Dr. Shamshad Husain, Chairman of Faiz-e-Aam Trust, Dr. Gazanfar Husain, Dr. Samiullah Khan, Mr. Ahmed Siddiqui Mukesh and others. Mr. Mohammed Riyaz Ahmed, Sub-Editor of Siasat Urdu Daily conducted the meeting.
