Former Corporators of Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC), Vijay Lakshmi and Ramchander Raju, joined the Telangana Rasthra Samithi here on Thursday.
While Vijaya Lakhsmi was elected on TDP ticket from Jubilee Hills, Ramchander Raju of Congress party represented Sultan Bazar division. Both of them joined the TRS along with their hundreds of supporters today. They were welcomed into the party by Ministers Jagadish Reddy and Talasani Srinivas Yadav at the TRS headquarters Telangana Bhavan.
Speaking on the occasion, Talasani said that the former corporators have joined the TRS as they were impressed with the vision of Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao on the development of Hyderabad as global city. He said many more leaders of different parties were eagerly waiting to join the ruling party. (INN)
