Exhibition dedicated to undying spirit of Indian craftsmen

New Delhi [India]: The exquisite craftsmanship of the Indian artisans will come alive at an exhibition at DASTKARI Studio on October 23.

The show aims to support and promote the rural and untouched craftsmen, hence strengthening the economy of the nation.

Maneka Gandhi, who is regarded as the pioneer will be the chief guest at the event that is about acknowledging the deep significance of ‘Swadeshi’.

The exhibition shall witness crafts demonstrations from the untouched and rural artisans from far flung areas of India.

Exquisite manifestations of India’s skilled labors have crafted a distinct identity for themselves to win accolades in India and abroad.

These artisans have played a significant role in keeping the Indian traditions alive over the years through exemplary craftsmanship.

“All Indian states embody their own style and origins of art, building an extraordinary treasure trove of unique craftsmanship. Through this exhibition we hope to make Dastakari Studio an ideal place for short term exhibitions, crafts demonstrations like these. Ahead of the festive season we hope to give Indians a genuine ‘SWADESI’ treat through these handicraft works,” said Parull Mahaajan, the Interior designer and curater of the exhibition.

Parull specialises in green designs and sustainable practices and is also an environment activist.

She has been felicitated with various awards and honours for excellence in the field of Interior Design. (ANI)
