Explosion heard near Pakistan consulate in Afghanistan

Kabul: An explosion has been heard near the Pakistan consulate in eastern Afghanistan in the capital city of Jalalabad, Nangarhar.

According to TOLONews, officials are yet to confirm the incident.

According to witnesses, Pakistan consulate is close to other foreign consulates including those of Iran and India, Reuters reports.

There have been several bomb blasts in Afghanistan in the past weeks.

Earlier, heavy fighting was reported on Monday after militants attempted to storm the Indian diplomatic mission in the Afghan city of Mazar-i-Sharif. (ANI)
