Home Minster Nayani Narsimha Reddy today alleged that the Seemandhra media was carrying out misinformation campaign on the suicides by farmers in Telangana State. “These media houses should stop such malicious reports that will only add to the woes of the people and the farmers”, he deplored.
The Home Minister made a visit to Chandampet in Neredugomma mandal in Nalgonda district and asked the villagers about their problems and requirements. Speaking on the occasion, he appealed to the farmers to have will power and stop ending their lives and deserting their families. The minister tried to convince the farmers to refrain from losing their hearts as the government was ready to provide them necessary succor and financial help.
The government has so far released 50 per cent of crop loans and will do so in future, he said. Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao was kind enough to resolve the problems of the villages by providing them shelter, pensions, roads, water, health and other facilities, he claimed. (NSS)
