Farmers wouldn’t have ended their lives had govt assured them of help: Kodandaram

Telangana Political JAC Chairman Prof. M. Kodandaram has clarified that he filed an Implead petition in the High Court with an idea that a debate must take place on farmers’ suicides.

Speaking to mediapersons here on Wednesday, Prof. Kodandaram opined that most of the farmers would not have committed suicides had the State government given a categorical assurance to them during the recent Assembly session.

It may be recalled here that Prof. Kodandaram filed an Implead petition in the High Court on farmers’ suicides along with Jalapathi Rao on behalf of Telangana Vidyavanthula Vedika. (NSS)
