Hyderabad: Senior Congress leader and MLC, Mr. Farooq Husain met Mr. Digvijay Singh, General Secretary of AICC and in charge of Telangana and made a representation to give maximum number of tickets to Muslim candidates for GHMC elections. He told him that there is lot of enthusiasm in the Old City for Congress and hence there is a need to give more ticket to Muslims. He mentioned that after consulting senior Muslim leaders like Mr. M.A. Khan, MP and opposition leader of Congress Mr. Mohammed Ali Shabbeer, a list of Muslim candidates would be forwarded to him. Mr. Digvijay Singh assured that his representation would be considered positively.
