Father of acid victim pleads Bihar’s CM for financial aid to perform ‘Shradh’

Patna: Father of an acid attack victim pleaded Nitish Kumar, Bihar’s CM to help him with expenses to carry out his daughter’s last ritual ‘Shradh’(funeral).

Chanchal Kumari, the victim, along with her sister was allegedly attacked by four youth’s who threw acid on them. The incident happened on October 22, when the duo was sleeping on the rooftop house in Maner, Patna. The victim has lost her life after battling for so many years on 22 June this year.

Shailesh Paswan, victim’s father in his letter to the CM requested him to provide him financial help to perform the ‘Shradh’ of his daughter, a copy of the letter has also been sent to the media.

A gardener by profession he earned Rs 5000 per month said, he managed his daughter’s treatment for the past five years but now he has no money left even for the last ritual ‘Shradh’ of his daughter.

“I managed to do her last rites with the help of money contributed by villagers. Now I have no option but to beg for performing Shradh of my daughter,” he said, reported Hindustan times.
