Father raped own daughter, Hyderabad police launched manhunt

HYDERABAD:  A manhunt launched to nab a 40-year-old father who is absconding after sexually assaulting his own teenage daughter.

The incident came to light after the girl’s mother lodged a police complaint.

The suspect Meesala Madhusudhan, a father of two daughters and a son who was supposed to be protecting her allegedly, assaulted her.

In the evening of Thursday, the accused, and auto rickshaw driver, on finding that the girl alone at home after her mother left home to visit a local temple, took her into the bedroom and raped her.

The 13-year-old narrated the incident to her mother that she has been a victim of her father’s sexual urges several times in the last couple of months but did not tell anyone due to embarrassement.

The girl confessed that her own father had been sexually assaulting her, in the absence of the mother.

Shocked by her daughter’s revelations, the mother wants to lodge a police complaint but the accused parents and relatives did not allowed her to do so.

The mother lodged a report against her husband at the police station on Thursday night, which led police to launch a manhunt for the 40-year-old father.

Hayathnagar Inspector J Narender Goud told Telangana Today, “She was sent for a medical examination and a hunt is on for the suspect, who is absconding,” he said.

Police have registered a case under Section 376 (F) (I) and the Protection Of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
