In connection with ‘Fathers Day’, a novel protest by some persons was witnessed here today. Fathers who were deprived of an opportunity to meet or share love with their children who are living with their mothers in separated families, organized the protest demanding amendments in the outdated laws, and against the injustice meted out to them in child custody rights.
Some persons separated from their wives organized the protest at Indira Park demanding restoration of their rights to look after their children. They bemoaned that men are being meted out with gross injustice because of the women-centered laws, in the matters of children’s custody. It is gross injustice to fathers who crave to look after their children and it will lead to a fatherless society, they said. (NSS)
