Hyderabad: A function was held in Chicago in connection with 70 years of Indian independence. Mr. D.B. Bhatti, Council General of India hoisted the flag. Mr. Minhaj Ahmed, President of the federation welcomed guests. Dr. Ausaf Sayeed, Council General of India was the chief guest.
On this occasion a prestigious award was presented to Mr. Khan Lateef Mohammed Khan, Editor of Munsif Urdu Daily, Hyderabad. Mr. Khan thanked the organisatio for this award. Dr. Ausaf Sayeed congratulated the Federation for organizing this function and told that such functions depict close relationship between India and US.
