FEED provides dual desks to Urdu medium schools


Hyderabad: According a press note issued by Mr. Ghyasuddin Babu Khan, Managing Trustee of Foundation for Education and Economic Development (FEED) provided 91 dual desks to two Urdu medium schools in Marala and Turmamidi in Mahboob Nagar District. 50 dual desks were also supplied to an Urdu medium school in Moghalgidda. Present on this occasion were Mr. Abdullah Khan Abid (USA), Ms. Nafees Khan (Canada), Ms.Naseem Abid and Mr. Ziauddin Naiyar, Managing Trustee of FEED.

Addressing on this occasion, Mr. Naiyar told that the trust has been providing school uniforms, textbooks and Iftar kits in Ramazan for the past two decades to the deserving students. The trust felt that the students of Urdu Medium Govt. Schools are getting education sitting on the floor which is developing inferiority complex among them. The trust, therefore decided to dual desk benches to these students. In the first phase of this program, benches were provided to the students of 8-10th classes. In the next phase furniture would be provided to other classes. So far, Rs. 32 lakh have been spent under this project.

Ms. Nafees Khan advised the students to work hard and not to discontinue their education. They should get distinction marks in their exams. She wished the students of SSC to get grand success in the public examination. She further told that it is the responsibility of the teachers to prepare the students for competitive exams.

Mr. Abdulah Khan Abid told hat the purpose of getting education should be to build character. He desired the teachers to inculcate moral values in students.

A meeting of the parents was convened at Moghalgidda School in which a large number of students also participated. Addressing the gathering, Mr Naiyar took a promise from the parents that they would not discontinue their children’s education. An old student of this school, Dr. Rafathullah Shareef (US) told that he is ready to develop this school. The headmaster of the school assured that his fellow teachers would work hard to develop the educational standard of the school.
