New Delhi: The last day for nomination filing for the first phase of Bihar assembly election is today.
49 constituencies will be there in the first phase of polls on October 12. 248 Candidates have so far filed their nominations for this phase. Candidates can withdraw their nominations till the 26th of this month.
The polling will take place in districts of Samastipur, Begusarai, Khagaria, Bhagalpur, Banka, Munger Lakhisarai, Sheikhpura, Nawada and Jamui.
Elections for the 243 member Bihar Assembly will be held in five phases between September 12 to November 5. Counting will take place on the 8th of November. The term of the current Assembly expires on 29th November.(ANI)
