The 2nd and final installment has been released to the selected candidates of Overseas Scholarship Scheme of Telangana Government which was introduced to provide financial assistance to minority students to study abroad.
The second installment of Rs. 5 lakh was deposited in the bank accounts of selected students in addition to 1st installment of 5 lakh in the month of December 2015.
Minority Welfare played remarkable role in persuading Finance Department to release the amount.
Mr. Zahid Ali Khan was the one who wrote a letter to CM for initiating Overseas Scholarship Scheme on the lines of SC/ST Overseas Scholarship Scheme.
Some students and parents thanked Mr. Zahid Ali Khan for his successful representation.
